1. Quick start

1. Open GlideCue and tap Start 3-day trial when ready. Then paste or type your script.
2. Tap Start Teleprompter, choose Fixed speed or Voice follow, then tap Play.
3. Tap the Picture in Picture button to keep the script visible above other apps.
4. Open Apple’s Camera or another recording app and position the floating window near the camera.

2. Permissions

Microphone

Used for Voice Follow and for sound in videos you choose to record. Voice Follow alone does not save audio; video recording does. GlideCue does not upload either to NeoDrill.

Camera and Photos

Camera access is used for built-in recording. Add-only Photos permission saves finished videos without reading your existing library.

Speech recognition

Used to match your spoken position with the script. GlideCue requires recognition that runs on your device and does not save or upload recognized words.

Motion

Used while the floating teleprompter is active to keep its content upright when the iPhone rotates. Motion information is not saved or uploaded.

3. Voice Follow is unavailable

• Open iOS Settings and confirm that GlideCue has Microphone and Speech Recognition access.
• Make sure the script is primarily written in the language you are speaking. GlideCue detects Chinese or English from the script text.
• Pause and resume playback after an interruption.
• If another app is using the microphone, return to GlideCue and restart playback after it finishes. GlideCue’s built-in camera can use the same microphone stream for recording and Voice Follow.
• Voice Follow requires on-device speech recognition. If on-device recognition is unavailable for the detected script language, choose Fixed speed in the GlideCue teleprompter.

GlideCue does not silently switch Voice Follow to Fixed speed. Your chosen scrolling mode remains visible and under your control.

4. Picture in Picture

If the floating window does not appear, confirm that Picture in Picture is allowed in iOS Settings, start playback in GlideCue, and tap the Picture in Picture button again. iOS controls the floating window’s available size. Pinch the real floating window to resize it.

5. Scripts and deletion

Scripts and settings are stored locally on the iPhone. Open Saved Notes to rename or delete a saved script. Deleting the app removes GlideCue’s local container and unsaved videos, but not videos already saved to Photos or Apple subscriptions. The local Keychain trial record may remain. Device backups follow separate Apple and iOS settings.

5A. Recording and permissions

From the script editor, tap the video-camera button. Allow Camera and Microphone access and permission to add videos to Photos. Start recording, pause/resume if needed, then stop to save automatically. The floating script is for your eyes only and is not part of the saved video. If a Photos save fails, use the retry/share action for pending videos; do not delete the app before recovering an unsaved video. The camera needs microphone access to produce video with sound. Voice Follow additionally needs speech-recognition permission and a supported on-device language model.

5B. Experience, purchases and restoration

The free experience begins only after you tap Start 3-day trial. New trials last 3 consecutive days (72 hours), including time in the background, after the app closes or while the phone is off. An existing trial keeps its original expiry time; changing the trial duration in a later update does not restart or extend it. It does not start a subscription or automatically charge you. After it ends, starting prompting or a new recording requires Pro; script editing and access to existing videos remain available.

Open Settings > GlideCue Pro to see localized prices and choose a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a separate one-time lifetime purchase. All three unlock Voice Follow, Fixed Speed, floating prompts and in-app recording. Prices are shown before purchase, and payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple subscription settings. Buying lifetime access does not cancel an existing subscription.

Use Restore purchases with the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. A pending or unverified purchase will not unlock access until Apple confirms it. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or guarantee a new free experience.

2. 权限说明

麦克风

用于语音跟读，以及你主动录制的视频中的声音。单独语音跟读不保存音频，视频录制会保存声音；两者都不上传给 NeoDrill。

相机与相册

相机权限用于内置录像；仅添加相册权限用于保存完成的视频，不读取相册已有内容。

语音识别

用于匹配你在稿件中的朗读位置。GlideCue 必须使用设备端识别，不保存或上传识别文字。

运动信息

在悬浮提词器运行时使用，用于在 iPhone 旋转后保持内容方向正确。运动信息不会保存或上传。

3. 语音跟读不可用

• 打开 iOS 设置，确认 GlideCue 已获得麦克风和语音识别权限。
• 确认稿件主要使用你实际朗读的语言；GlideCue 会根据稿件文字自动判断中文或英文。
• 发生系统中断后，尝试暂停并重新播放。
• 如果其他 App 正在使用麦克风，结束后返回 GlideCue 并重新播放。GlideCue 内置相机可以让录像与语音跟读使用同一条麦克风音频。
• 语音跟读依赖端侧语音识别。如果系统不支持自动判断出的稿件语言，请在 GlideCue 提词器中改用定速滚动。

GlideCue 不会悄悄把语音跟读切换为定速滚动。滚动模式始终保持可见，并由你决定。

4. 画中画

如果悬浮窗没有出现，请确认 iOS 设置允许画中画，在 GlideCue 中开始播放，然后再次点击画中画按钮。悬浮窗可用尺寸由 iOS 控制，可以在真实悬浮窗上双指缩放。

5. 稿件与删除

稿件和设置保存在 iPhone 本地。打开“已存文稿”可以重命名或删除稿件。删除 App 会移除本地 App 容器和未保存的视频，但不会删除已存相册视频或取消 Apple 订阅；本机钥匙串体验记录可能仍保留。设备备份适用 Apple 和 iOS 的其他设置。

5A. 录制与权限

在稿件编辑器点击录像按钮，允许相机、麦克风以及向相册添加视频的权限。开始录制后可以暂停、继续，结束时自动保存。悬浮提词只供你阅读，不会录进视频。相册保存失败时，请使用待保存视频的重试或分享入口；取回视频前不要删除 App。相机需要麦克风权限来录制带声音的视频；语音跟读还需要语音识别权限和设备支持的端侧语言模型。

5B. 体验、购买与恢复

只有点击“开始 3 天体验”后才开始计时，新开始的体验持续连续 3 天（72 小时），后台运行、关闭 App 或关机都不会暂停，不会自动开通订阅或扣费。已经开始的体验保留原来的到期时间，后续版本调整体验时长不会让它重新开始或延长。到期后，开始提词或新一段录像需要 Pro；仍可编辑稿件和查看已有视频。

打开“设置 > GlideCue Pro”可查看当地价格，选择自动续期月费、年费或独立的一次性买断。三种方案均解锁语音跟读、定速滚动、悬浮提词和内置录像。购买前显示价格，确认购买后由 Apple 账户扣费。订阅会自动续期，除非在当前周期结束至少 24 小时前取消；可在 Apple 订阅设置中管理或取消。买断不会自动取消已有订阅。

恢复购买时请使用原购买所用的 Apple 账户。待批准或尚未验证的交易须等 Apple 确认后才会解锁。删除 App 不会取消订阅，也不保证重新获得免费体验。
